Need Transportation for a Medical Appointment or Treatment?
The Deacons are compiling a list of people who are available to transport you. Please contact Debby Benick, Deacon Moderator, for scheduling.
The Wilson Center is in desperate need of donations of canned soup. Please remember the Wilson center when you are doing your grocery shopping.
Ginnys Pantry is consistently serving 40 to 50 families each month, representing over 100 individuals. Our shelves are often bare by the end of the night.
While we are able to purchase food in bulk from the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, our churches' food drives are important to provide variety of foods.
Canned soups or ramen noodles are always needed, as are fruits and cereal. Please remember to drop off a can or box each Sunday!
October will be our quarterly visit to Homefront Family Preservation Center to host a birthday party for all the kids celebrating this month. While we try to fulfill individual wishes, it is nice to supplement with donated new toys or books. Sunday School classes have boxes in their rooms to accept donations of unused and unwanted toys. Remember this deacon initiative when children receive gifts that may be undesirable, but could bring happiness to a Homefront resident!
BABY ITíS COLD OUTSIDE!
The cooler weather is quickly approaching and a pair of warm socks is just what the doctor ordered! The Board of Deacons is sponsoring a ďSockĒ drive for TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen) for the benefit of its clients. Warm, dry socks during the bitter cold winter would promote good health to those in need. A collection box will be placed in the front foyer to accept new, unused socks, from infant to adult sizes. All donations will be very much appreciated.
Did you ever want to help out at your church but just donít have the time? Well here is a chance for you to become involved. The Deacons are looking for families and individuals to be greeters before each worship service. All you need to do is come Ĺ hour before the start of the service with a big smile and a warm hand shake. Thatís it!! You can volunteer as many times as you wish. If you are interested please fill out the form in the bulletin and put it in the offering plate. Or contact Lucille Fennimore
