Notes from the Deacons The Deacons will be making a donation to the One Simple Wish organization to fulfill some wishes of deserving children and families in need, in a variety of ways. Some items we hope to grant are: camp registrations, a special TV for a visually impaired child, a sewing machine to teach job skills to young residents at a residential program, and emergency clothing for shelters. You may learn more about this wonderful organization by visiting their website at www.onesimplewish.org. The Deacons primary mission is to assist local community residents in need. Because of your faithful contributions to the Deacons Fund, we are blessed to have sufficient funds in our treasury to reach beyond our immediate community. Jesus said, what you do to the least of my brothers, you do unto me. May God bless you for your generous heart. If anyone is aware of a church member or friend of the First Presbyterian Church of Hamilton Square, who could benefit from being on the Deacon's visitation/mailing list, please contact the Church office with the name, address and telephone number of the individual. Did you ever want to help out at your church but just don’t have the time? Well here is a chance for you to become involved. The Deacons are looking for families and individuals to be greeters before each worship service. All you need to do is come ½ hour before the start of the service with a big smile and a warm hand shake. That’s it!! You can volunteer as many times as you wish. If you are interested please fill out the form in the bulletin and put it in the offering plate. Or contact Lucille Fennimore
